Moda Italiana: Street Style From Milan Fashion Week

It’s time we bid arrivederci to the Italian stallions in Milan, because Men’s Fashion Week ends tomorrow, paving the way for an even busier showing in Paris with more menswear and haute couture. While we enjoyed lusting after all the beautiful clothes boys on the runway (including Chuck Bass!), we also fancied the style we saw on the street. As one of the nation’s fashion capitals and home to the most luxe Italian labels, Milan’s sidewalks are pretty much a catwalk of their own. We’ve rounded up our favorite looks of the week (tropical prints! Pajamas! Pig bags!), so check them out to get a taste of the moda Italiana.

The Olsens turn 26 today, and as we look back on the lives of the world’s most talked-about twins, it’s more than clear that these two ladies have always loved fashion—long before they were leading designers in the industry. Once the pint-sized tots of beloved tween films like It Takes Two and Billboard Dad, Mary-Kate and Ashley have been credited for popularizing their signature “homeless” “boho” style (i.e. oversized everything), and were recently honored for their achievement in fashion design with a CFDA award.
The twins’ big win comes as no surprise when we consider their lengthy fashion resume that touches nearly every sector of the biz, including a line for young girls at Walmart, a beauty line, a women’s line for J.C. Penney, a T-shirt line called StyleMint, roles as Co-Creative Directors of Superga, and not one, but two high fashion labels: The Row and Elizabeth and James.
And as MK and A’s fashion roles have evolved, so have their sartorial choices. These twins are known for their unique, individual style that is anything but ordinary, featuring eccentric wears, unexpected combinations, and a lot of layering. In celebration of their 26th, we’ve rounded up our favorite street style looks. Take a peek!

Get Her Look: Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale can always be spotted in trendy duds no matter where she is. We especially loved this laidback look she wore while doing some shopping in West L.A. The singer and actress wore a bright white outfit that was perfect for summer and added a few splashes of blue to make the look pop. Wearing all white is something we don’t see enough, but when we do it always looks clean and crisp. Ashley is a prime example of how this light and bright look can work for you too!

Paris Fashion Week is coming to close—le sigh—topping off one of the busiest months of the year in fashion. If you weren’t able to jet to France for the week, worry not: you can still enjoy all of the amazing eye candy that hit the street. So far, we’ve been seeing a lot of exciting pieces that we can’t wait to incorporate into our spring wardrobe, including chunky geometric prints, baseball caps, parkas, and a healthy supply of denim.
Check out the Parisian looks we love aimons below!

What to Wear to New York Fashion Week

Whether you were lucky enough to score a ticket to one of the runway shows or you just plan to loiter around the Lincoln Center tents in hopes of spotting a famous fashionista (don’t worry—we don’t judge), outfitting yourself for New York Fashion Week can be an intimidating—and seemingly impossible—task. So what can you possibly wear that will standout amongst the amazingly dressed, designer-loving attendees? Of course your clothes have to be stylish and on-trend, but they should be comfortable too—you’ll be shuffling from tent to tent, and with all of the photogs around, it’s best to look graceful, and not like you’re one step away from ditching your heels and going barefoot. Here are some of our NYFW must-haves—sure to get your photo snapped

Style Tips for Your Boyfriend from Pitti

If there’s one thing we took away from Pitti Uomo, the annual mega menswear trade show in Florence, it’s that Italian boys know how to dress. Usually it’s the girls who are the more fashion-forward ones in relationships, but these guys put the ladies’ outfits to shame, hitting the streets in bold colors, rolled up cuffs, daring prints (camouflage!), and tailored blazers.
Most of the designer duds from the show itself won’t hit the shelves for months, but in the meantime, you can learn a thing or two from all of the fashionable male attendees. To help your beau get an equally stylish look, here are some takeaway fashion tips straight from Italy (just in time for Men’s Fashion Week!)
1. Tailored blazers
A tight-fitted blazer can either be worn as a separate or with matching pants (as this sickeningly handsome Italian man did). This double-breasted jacket is a classic piece that will be “in stile” for years. Feel free to coordinate with a colorful scarf.

How to Dress for Spring’s Hottest Music Fests

Attention all music-loving boys and girls: the Coachella 2012 lineup is finally here! This year, the music festival is expanding to two consecutive weekends, topping off a series of three spring music festivals that are sure to rock your season—South by Southwest (SXSW) and Ultra being the other two main players. But what’s arguably more important than what bands are hitting the stage is what to wear to each festival, which year by year attracts the most fashionable attendees and Hollywood celebs—Lea Michele, Ashley Greene, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kate Bosworth all hit Coachella last year dressed in their trendiest get-ups. To make sure you’re looking your best as you dance you heart out, here’s a guide to what to wear to this spring’s most talked about fests:
